This course is an introductory course in
Commercial Cookery and averages over 800
hours of face-to-face contact. Total
duration of this course is 52 weeks
including holidays spanning over four
sessions. Graduates of the SIT30807
Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial
Cookery) may gain employment as qualified
Chefs/Cooks in a variety of establishments
including Hotels/Motels, Hospitals/Nursing
Homes, Restaurants/Bistros, Shipping Lines,
Boarding Schools, Resorts, Reception Centres
or Catering Companies. |

SIT50307 Diploma of Hospitality |
|
Total duration of this course is 104 weeks
including holidays spanning over eight
terms. The course averages over 1600 hours
of face-to-face contact. The first year
focuses on building basic cooking skills as
well as operational health, hygiene and
safety skills. The second year introduces
front of house skills and focuses on
management subjects. You will be trained to
be a chef and may work as a chef in a small
business or as a sous chef in larger
kitchens including hotels, restaurants,
cafes, clubs, event caterers, airlines,
hospitals, executive boardrooms. You are
also trained in front of house operations
and food and beverage service as well as
hospitality management. |

This qualification is designed to reflect the role
of first-line managers and/or advanced technical
workers in the industry sector. The course averages

CHC50108 Diploma of Disability may gain
employment as qualified Behavioral Support Officer,
Disability Officer, Disability Support Officer or
Senior Personal Care Assistant. |
